This three-day gathering brought together colleagues from across the world to collaborate and exchange ideas within the TWI business community — the first in-person meeting since before the COVID-19 pandemic! From the very first session, it was clear how much our partners value the chance to step back from their day-to-day and learn from one another. Representatives from Europe, Australia and the U.S. exchanged experiences and explored new challenges, proving the ongoing necessity of TWI methods in fast-moving industries. As Gerard Berendsen of TWI Instituut Nederland BV noted, “Going [in-depth] on topics [like] Job Instruction, Job Relations and Standardized Work (including Job Methods) illustrates that we work with absolutely relevant topics for daily improvement in every type of business.” Expanding the Dozuki Partnership A central topic of the Global Partner Connect was the deepening partnership with Dozuki, the digital platform that reinforces TWI methodology while making training more scalable and accessible. Dozuki enables organizations to digitize knowledge, standardize training and embed continuous improvement into daily work. Impressively, companies using TWI and Dozuki together have seen onboarding times cut by 40%, cross-training time reduced by half and, in some cases, turnover lowered by nearly 80%. Partners were energized by the potential. “It is exciting to see TWI moving into digitalization and AI,” said Marius Skersys of Nortus Lithuania. “We are not only talking about applying methods, but also about their essence: how we can leverage new technologies to enhance client outcomes.” During the Dozuki sessions, special attention was given to integrating diverse perspectives from different geographic regions, ensuring that location-specific needs and initiatives were recognized and addressed within the global framework. Local Highlights The gathering was as much about fostering community as it was about sharing ideas. A highlight of the week was the tour of the Thermo Fisher plant in Vilnius, the life science company’s largest operation outside of its U.S. headquarters. There, partners saw firsthand how a global leader applies TWI methods to build consistency and quality. The plant played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic, producing base material for global vaccine supplies while integrating TWI Job Instruction into its daily practice for maximum efficiency. The site visit sparked lively conversations about how digital platforms like Dozuki can accelerate similar improvements in other industries. Outside the formal sessions, partners connected over shared meals and city walks. “Another excellent opportunity to understand and learn from a very knowledgeable group with a common interest — helping organizations get better at what they do through building ‘people capability.’” said Oscar Roche of TWI Institute Australia & New Zealand. Looking Ahead The TWI Global Partner Connect in Vilnius reinforced the unique value of this global community: practical methods paired with openness to innovation and strengthened by trusted relationships. Partners left with a renewed sense of purpose and tangible strategies for weaving digital tools like Dozuki into hands-on training instruction. “For me, the Vilnius meeting once again showed the strength of the TWI community when we come together from across the globe around shared goals,” said Skersys. “The open exchange of experiences and practical discussions demonstrated that we are not only aligned in methodology, but also in our commitment to creating greater value for clients.”
