Description

3 Days of Benchmarking, Insight, and Collaboration

Join us for the 2026 TWI Peer Exchange, an exclusive event for TWI Institute clients to connect, benchmark, and build together. Itinerary:

Day 1 – Plant Tours & Benchmarking

Get an inside look at TWI skills in action with exclusive site visits (2 locations per attendee):

    • Hallmark Cards – Lawrence, KS – Witness America’s favorite greeting cards being printed, packed, and shipped
    • Church & Dwight (Arm & Hammer) – Harrisonville, MO – Tour the country’s sole Oxiclean manufacturing plant and Arm & Hammer’s Midwest distribution center
    • University of Kansas Health System – Kansas City, KS – See TWI principles applied in a healthcare setting

Day 2 – Peer Presentations & Roundtables

Hear directly from fellow TWI clients as they share:

    • Panasonic Energy will share how they’re building TWI into a rapidly scaling operation, including how JI and JS are already embedded across their brand-new plant and how JR and JM will support their growing frontline leadership and kaizen programs.
    • Church & Dwight (OxiClean Products Plant) will highlight how structured, sustainable TWI practices are driving measurable improvements—including an example of how combining JR, JM, and JI helped eliminate a top downtime issue and achieve faster, more consistent changeovers across shifts.
    • Hallmark (Three Related Topics)
      • Monthly JI Trainer Workshops — How Hallmark is strengthening JI capability by giving trainers a regular space to refresh skills, rebuild confidence, and take ownership of job breakdown development.
      • Innovations in the JI Training Class — How adjusting class design and practice time is producing more confident, capable JI trainers.
      • Blueprint for Launching JI in a Work Area — A practical look at what Hallmark has learned about rolling out JI effectively, what they changed, and how they’re doing it better today.
    • The University of Kansas Health System — JI Rollout Strategy A structured approach to rolling out high‑impact training using JI, with practical models and strategies that support each phase of the training lifecycle including clarifying roles, managing change, and building sustainable training systems that improve workforce capability.

Day 3 – Breakout Workshops

Dive deeper into the topics that matter most to you. Workshop themes will be shaped by client input such as:

    • Dojo‑Based Training How the University of Kansas Health System redesigned training by moving critical skills offline into a training “dojo". This session explores why the shift was needed, how JI training is designed and developed for use in the dojo, and how it’s improving patient‑care quality.
    • TWI “Open Gym” A simple but powerful sustainment practice developed at Hallmark where leaders meet monthly to work through real JR and JI situations together.
    • Digital Work Instructions and JI How digital work instructions and TWI methods work together to turn complex processes into clear, trainable steps, support skill development, and improve communication and alignment across teams. Practice will be led by TWI Institute’s partners from Dozuki.
    • JR AI Assistant An introduction to the JR AI Assistant, a private coaching tool that helps supervisors strengthen the Four Foundations, practice the 4‑Step Method, and prepare for difficult conversations.
    • JI Breakdown Deep Dive Bring a job to the workshop and TWI Institute JI experts will help break it down for training teaching the more intricate skills of making effective JIBs.
