“New needs” are not so new as TWI continues to provide value in healthcare today
Due to the overtaxing of the pyramided nursing needs of the armed forces during WWII, hospitals turned to TWI’s Job Instruction program for workers to take over routine duties formerly handled by nurses. Soon after, Job Methods and Job Relations were seen to be effective and became available to all hospitals through War Manpower Regional Offices.
