TWI Institute Certified Trainer Programs
The TWI Institute offers a 40-hour Train-The-Trainer (TTT) session
for each TWI program of Job Relations (JR), Job Safety (JS). Job
Instruction (JI) and Job Methods (JM).
Qualifications:
TWI Institute Certified Trainer candidates for the “J”
programs are required to have experience with supervising and/or
coordinating the work of others. Certified trainer candidates for
Job Instruction and Job Methods must also have a good understanding
of current day production systems and experience implementing the
tools of TPS/Lean in the workplace
Prerequisites:
A Certificate of Completion confirming the candidate completed the
appropriate 10-hour Supervisor Program of JR, JS, JI and/or JM.
This means a person must complete the 10-hour JI training to register
for the 40-hour JI trainer program; the 10-hour JR program to register
for the 40-hour JR trainer program, and the same for JI and JM.
.
Overview of the TWI Institute Train-the-Trainer Program (TTT):
• Each TTT program is 40 hours spread over five (5) consecutive
days. Participants are required to actively attend all sessions,
including any evening sessions. The TWI Institute format provides
a “learn-by-doing” experience that requires each new
trainer to demonstrate to the Master Trainer the ability to deliver
the training in accordance with the Trainer Delivery Manual. This
is not a problem when participants make the required effort.
• Class size is limited to 6 people to provide each participant
with sufficient practice time to learn by practicing how to deliver
each program of JI, JR, JS and JM as scripted in each of the trainer
delivery manuals.
• The TWI Institute will send the “J” Program
Delivery Manual, Participant Guide, Pocket Card and training materials
in advance of the training. Each participant is required to become
familiar with these materials prior to the first day of training.
Cost:
• $4,500 for each participant plus materials: JR & JS
- $300; JI - $400; JM - $800.
• Travel expenses for the TWI Institute Master Trainer when
the training is delivered on site.
• An additional $1,000 fee when extended travel is involved
for the trainer which typically is the case when training trainers
on site outside of the US.
TWI Institute Certified Trainers:
A Certificate of Completion will be issued to those who satisfactorily
complete each 40-hour trainer program by displaying a clear understanding
of the Training Delivery Manual and all training materials, and
by demonstrated to the TWI Institute Master Trainer the ability
to use these materials to successfully deliver the “J”
program involved. Each trainer will be given a written evaluation
outlining strengths and weaknesses that can be overcome with practice.
Each new trainer is encouraged to contact the TWI Institute Master
Trainer the week after the first delivery to review how to overcome
the weaknesses outlined on their written evaluation.
