Certification
Process
Prospective trainers are immersed in the course material for the
40-hour program. The learn-by-doing approach holds true for the
Certified Trainer programs as well. A key component to the proven
success of the 10-hour courses of Job
Relations, Job Instruction,
and Job Methods is the real-life examples participants bring in
to practice the four-step method with. Therefore, Trainers need
to be adept at quickly and proficiently sizing up a situation and
teaching the applicable method for these real-life examples.
Detailed
trainer manuals are provided to Trainers. These manuals outline
specifically how to deliver the course content and use the facilitation
kit. All 10-hour classes are delivered according to the manual
ensuring success for the Certified Trainer and students.
The training
environments are positive and always facilitated by a Certified
Master Trainer. The programs are standardized to ensure consistency
of content but flexible enough to foster a learning environment
for each student. Class sizes are kept small (4 - 6) to allow one-on-one
interaction with the Master Trainer.
Written evaluations outlining
delivery strengths and opportunities for improvement are provided
as a training aid for each student. The Certified Master Trainer
will work with each student to ensure that the TWI material is
delivered correctly, consistently, and successfully. A Certificate of Completion will be issued to those who satisfactorily complete each 40-hour trainer program. These individuals will have displayed a clear understanding of the Training Delivery Manual and demonstrated to the TWI Institute Master Trainer the ability to use these materials to successfully deliver the “J” program as trained
Certified
Trainers are encouraged to stay in contact with the TWI Institute.
The TWI Institute is a forum for sharing experiences, a source
for training guides and materials, and a liaison for companies
interested in receiving TWI training. A minimum of quarterly course
deliveries aids Certified Trainers in keeping current with the
material and ensuring student success. The TWI Institute requests
candidates to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to protect the
integrity of the TTT module, ensuring the delivery stays true to
the original tenets of the TWI-Service legacy.
